Its always wonderful getting happy updates on QBSDR alumni! For those who remember Teddy, our senior boy from Carson, heres what his mom had to say: Teddy has us all trained just the way he wants it. Lol He has two fluffy beds and countless blankets to lay on. His favorite hobby is sleeping on the back patio in the morning Sun. He has a nappy spot in every room. He bounces when he walks. hes adorable. He lets us touch him, pick him up, kiss his nose. Hes a goofball. Dexter will come up to teddy and bounce at him. Thats all it takes, then there is barking and bouncing all over the house. Teddy knows that if he comes into my bedroom early in the morning that I will get up and let him out. His tags click when he bounces, I hear that. He is now a New Orleans Saints fan. Lol He has a collar and tag to prove it. We have a small can of training treats that we use as Touchdown Treats. Every time the saints get a touchdown they get a little treat. He loves football now. Lol. If you remember, his ear tips were all dried and fly bitten. The hair has grown back a little and the tips are now covered with hair. He even has little whisps hanging off his ears. The vet said he has only half his teeth. So we give him small kibble and mini milk bones. He loves greenies for his teeth and breath. He lets me bathe him in our shower. Warm water, and a hand held shower. Then he gets out....and shakes off. Lol Basically he is spoiled rotten. And he is loving it. I hope it inspires people to adopt older dogs. Our vet estimates that he is about 12 years old. He sure doesnt act like it. The vicious dog that was in the shelter now lets me lift up his nose every morning and kiss the top of His head. He has become a mommas boy. Hes with the perfect family for his needs, and thats what we so...match the lifestyle of a family with the needs of the dog. Another #adoptsuccess to add to the books!
