Japanese Major-General Sasaki Toichi is widely recognized as having overseen some of the worst atrocities that took place during the #NanjingMassacre. He is thought to have overseen the killing of roughly 100,000 Chinese citizens, a third of the total destruction committed during the massacre. On December 13th, the National Memorial Day, China’s State Archives Administration published the transcript of the court verdict against the Japanese Major General as another way to remember the victims of those tragic days.
