July 26, 2014 the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies acknowledged the Huber Heights Police Division by selecting the Police Division and Communication Center to receive the Accreditation with Excellence Award. The decision to accredit is rendered by a governing body of twenty-one Commissioners following a public hearing and review of all reporting documentation. The Commission stated, the Huber Heights Police Division has clearly demonstrated a commitment to professionalism and CALEA Accreditation has undoubtedly become an institutionalized management model for the organization. The Accreditation with Excellence Award is a Gold Standard for Public Safety showcasing the exceptional employees who work in the Huber Heights Police Division and Communication Center.
