*Junee Stabbing* 27-YEAR-OLD MAN STABBED IN JUNEE OVERNIGHT | Police seek public assistance in locating offenders By JAYDAN DUCK A 27-year-old man was kicked, punched and stabbed in a vicious attack which occurred outside the Junee Hotel at around 2.10am this morning. Police say three men had become involved in an altercation outside the licensed premises along Seignior Street. It is alleged the 27-year-old victim was pushed up against a parked vehicle and stabbed before being thrown to the ground, where he was kicked and punched. Police said the victim has sustained lacerations consistent with being stabbed. "Police attended the Junee Hospital and saw the man had lacerations to his right arm, sternum and left eyebrow. The treating doctor informed police the injuries were consistent with being inflicted by a sharp implement," police said. The people of Junee are shocked and outraged by the magnitude of last nights assault with many taking to social media to express their concern. The two men who were seen assaulting the 27-year-old man are described as being Caucasian in appearance and aged 20 years or more. One of the offenders was a solid build and wore a black hooded jumper with a motif. The other was of a slim build and was wearing a white hooded jumper. Police are seeking assistance from members of the Junee community who may have any information in relation to this matter to contact Wagga Police on 69222599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 as a matter of urgency.
