KNOWLEDGE BANK: NATIONAL LIBRARY ----------------------------------------------- The second phase of the National Library was opened in Nay PYi Taw, yesterday, with an address by Vice President Dr Sai Mauk Kham. He urged the staff to provide better services to the readers, to promote their library management skill, to expand their horizon of knowledge and to arrange an online catalogue for the information facility to meet the ASEAN standard. At the ceremony, Deputy Ministers for Culture awarded the winners of library’s contests and presented a certificate of honour to a donor. As part of public service effort, the National Library opened its first phase in May last year and is facilitated with more than a thousand of knowledgeable books and publications.
