MEXICO: Mexicans took to the streets on Saturday, protesting late into the night for justice for 43 students who were kidnapped in the town of Iguala in September and killed. Three gang suspects confessed to the crime, prompting the protest. In Mexico City, protesters gathered around 8pm and marched down Paseo de la Reforma, a major thoroughfare, to Zócalo, the city’s main plaza. Protesters chanted for justice for the students, counting down from 43 out loud and using slogans such as, “They were taken alive.” Protesters also set a fire at the gate of the National Palace.
