Manistees CASMAN Academy has been struggling through shrinking enrollment numbers, to the point that the schools board has wondered if it can keep its doors open. But board member Steve Parsons, whos on CASMANs Strategic Planning Committee, has informed the board that theyre putting a plan in place to keep the school open, at least in the coming fall. The plan includes cutting the budget by $125,000...though exactly where those cuts will be made is still undecided. Recruiting more students to the Academy would also help the school stay solvent.
