Merry Christmas to all my friends and family! As I was driving to the other farm this morning to watch heifers for heats, I started thinking of my mom, my brother, Art, and my dad, and of course those darn tears started up again. But then I got thinking about Christmas, Jesuss birth. The tears turned to joy, if it wasnt for Gods only son, Jesuss birth, I wouldnt have the joy of knowing I will see my family again someday in heaven. True Peace. I enjoyed my walk out to the pasture to watch the girls. As I looked around at the hills and woods, it made me reflect on the wonderful sermon last night. I had a new way at looking at a birth announcement. How God announced the birth of His son, first to lowly shepherds. I could get a sense of what they felt and saw as I looked around my lowly surroundings. I put myself in the shepherds sandals, and felt very humbled, thinking of how God made his announcement to the lowest of people, not the kings or priests. He did that for me and you.
