Movie Review ~ Robocop ~ There was something lacking in the original with Peter Weller back in 1987, and there is something lacking now. However back then, campyness and satirical jabs at the events of the 80s was ok. Even now, when you throw in Samuel L Jackson, the cool Michael Keaton, and the talented Gary Oldman, along with the politics of present day (using drones to police the Skies) It still lacks substance. The graphics at times are believable and other times a hindrance to feeling vested in the main character (who by the way needs to go back to Acting 101). This movie is a desperate attempted at trying to build a franchise that will NEVER happen. Hollywood needs to just make a great movie and then if it makes enough money use the backdoor to bridge a squeal. My assessment of RoboCop is DNR, CTRL-ATL-DELETE, Pull the Plug, Eletro-Shock-Theapy, Batteries NOT included. Go see RoboCop at your Own Risk. I give it 2 out of 4. Better yet RedBOX it!!!
