My WEEK 2 at ILTW Film & TV Script Writing School in Pune. Weekday Batch is going in good pace, but Weekend Batch is on fire. I am enjoying every bit of it. Read about it. Week 2: Class is on fire...everybody returned this Week with their own Story Ideas. We discussed each and every one of that and have finalised 3 Stories. 2 of them will be developed for Short Films and 1 for a full fledged Film Script, by the Week 8, hopefully. Everybody has agreed to participate. This is going to be a great exercise for all; for me too. So, now onwards, we will be learning Script Writing Techniques and will apply those on these Stories. And will be learning it while watching different Films of different Genres too. Film Sessions will start next Saturday. Excited!! Today, we are through the 3 ACT Structure and Syd Fields Paradigm. Next is the another Structure - Heros Journey or Monomyth. For me, it is easier than Paradigm. Once you understand it fully, its easy to write the empty pages of your script. It also solves many problems of Script flow. Outlining the Story becomes handy. And later, everything looks clearer. Writing Dialogue using such Structure could be better I believe. Well, thats what I think and believe. My Fellow Writers and YOU may have other opinion. Later we will check an unique pattern of writing Script. I call it a Structure though. It is the easiest way.
