NHS England has requested the following information be sent out to the trans community. The Disability Partnership (Sense, Mencap, Scope and The National Autistic Society) has joined forces with NHS England and the Strategic Clinical Networks (East of England) to host an exciting new public participation event on November 26th 2014. The event will focus on enabling and supporting people with disabilities, including those who are trans, service providers and commissioners, to work together to ensure meaningful participation in health and social care. The day includes: • The opportunity to hear from people with disabilities about their experiences of participation and how best to support them • A range of workshops to help you develop your knowledge base and gain practical advice on supporting people with disabilities • A marketplace session for you to share your current projects and engage directly with service users When: Wednesday 26th November 2014 Where: Deafblind UK Conference Centre, John and Lucille van Geest Place, Cygnet Rd, Peterborough PE7 8FD Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
