NOTE: last evening i had to rush my relative to the hospital after he was attacked by two young robbers on cemetery Road. He received two stabs one to the back of his neck andone to his left hand after he tried to fight them for his belongings. In the end the took away his phone and his school moneywhile he left with The wounds which required six stiteches. I on the other hand had the duty of taking him to the police and then the hospital. The police at the East Lapenitence were very professional and helpful and ahould be commended for their response. However while there a guy with police attire came in while the report was being made and from little description he was able to immediately state who the robbers were and where they could be found... smh. My question is since these two robbers are so known by the police why are they still on the road? Anyway we then left the station for the hospital and there i realised that the emergency area has had some work done that actually looks great and as usual there were many seated awaiting medial attention. The medical frontline staff were great at assisting and quelling all perceived fears of the levels of major and minor emergencies. However i couldnt help but make sevral observations. There was a woman aged 73 sitting in a wheelchair who was the victim of a hit and run at Plaisance. She had been there according to her relatives for about 3 hrs and was still there after i left. Eventually she was wheeled into the ER and was again parked in a corner. From my observation in the ER area the medical staff were a bit taxed but communication seemed laxed hence creating unnecessary words of bile from those seeking medical attention. My relative with his wounds was obviously not in any major danger hence he was placed in a corner while a young female doctor checked on an accident victim closeby. After a while i enquired how long my wait would be so as to decide if i should leave my relative and return. Well that seemed the gravest of sin as the female doctor answered as if she was in a really bad mood. I cant say cause i aint see the patient yet then she went to writing on one of those medical forms. Respectfully i said ok much thanks. A few seconds later a female relative of the 73 year old enquired how soon before her mum would be attended to and lord have mercy the young doctor simply ignored the woman. In turn the woman wispered to me like she get a degree in pig ology cause she supposed to be saying something but she just sitdown and ignoring people. My responce was to chuckle and then respond asking her for some patience in the Drs defence. A sin again! The Dr. Still sitting suddenly responded. Listen yall got to move from there go outside and wait cause i need to be free to walk up and down this place. This raised the ire in the woman whose mum was in the accident. Wait like is only she got a degree in pig ology in here or what ? Like people aint supposed to ask what is happening regarding their family...i here with my mother who is 73 who get knock down more than 3hrs ago and all i could get is attitude while me mudda foot swelling?... ms Dr just make up her face and turn she back as if to say I dont need yall is yall need me. Granted she may have been taxed and tired but all she should have done was to just offer a quiet word or a gentle update and the matter would have been resolved but lord I pray that i never have to get asistance from her for nothing because her attitude does not help and in my opinion will not heal anyone. So as the woman stood resolute with her mum i simply made my exit dissapointed as ever but composed. A little way off a young male doctor who was more mannerly and obviously understood that attitudes can heal was approached and he said he would assist my relative in about 15 minutes. He deserves an award for having great attitude that befits the profession... smile on mister Dr. You save the good name of the profession and much thanks for the commendable attitude. I have no clue of what happened to granny as she was left in the ER when I exited.
