New Brunswick ** Rainfall Warnings, Tropical Storm Watches, Tropical Cyclone Statements, Special Weather Statements in effect ** There is mainly sunny skies over the southeast. The northeast is mostly cloudy as showers and thundershowers move off shore. The west side is seeing mainly cloudy conditions. Temperatures range from +13°C at Point Lepreau to +23°C in Moncton. Southerly winds are calm to light except in coastal areas where gusts of 30 km/h are being recorded. We can expect the province to be mainly cloudy today with showers and the risk of thundershowers. Total rainfall amounts expected into the overnight hours are 35 to 45 mms in the southwest and central west locations, 20 to 25 mms in the northeast and 5 to 10 mms in the northwest and southeast. Temperatures this afternoon will be +25°C to +28°C in the south and +20°C to +25°C in the north. Saint John will like ly only get to +19°C. Overnight lows of +14°C to +17°C are forecast. Winds will start out southerly at 20 to 25 km/h with gusts of 40 km/h then shifting to north to northeast 15 to 20 km/h gusting to 50 to 60 km/h as tropical Storm Arthur approaches and begins to influence our region. Currently in Curventon it is overcast and +21°C. The southwest wind is at 14 km/h. The relative humidity is 89%. Barometric pressure is 1012 hPa and falling.
