Now that the match is over, I can very proudly let the cat out of the bag! This week, many nights after work, I headed up to the Westin Hotel Seattle to free-lance as a private chef for this guy, and MMA contender Danny Castillo. At the beginning of the week, a great deal rode on my ability to abide by a very strict dietary schedule and times for meals to be given, measuring accurately EVERY ounce (2.5) of chicken, prepare these meals without any fat or sodium (which for you know a pastry chef is quite a challenge HAH!). I was in constant communication with their nutritionist as well as Lex McMahon their manager. On Friday I received a text from Rory that he made the "cut" and then last night I got the news that he won his match! What a nervous "mamma" I was this week! And I guess that I did a satisfactory job and will be referred again! This morning a text came: "Thank you for all of your help this week! :)" How cool is that?!? Thanks guys I had a great time, and thanks also to all of the employees of the Westin Hotel in Seattle for sharing their stainless steel kingdom on the bottom floor to a chef that had not stepped into one in a while! I had a fabulous time!
