OMGosh! My heart is broken for my child, my grand child and our family. Jessica just sent me this update. Jessica Burkhart Well we just spoke to a member on the surgeon team. She was trying to gather information on e.b. Surgery is scary on a normal person but its even worse with a child with e.b. She said she was going to talk to her boss about getting a Gtube and a jtube. The Gtube goes directly to his stomach and the j tube goes to the intestines . This way we will be able to give him meds and also the nutriats that he needs. As yall know kade is only 10 pounds at 4 months old and it is not a good thing. His body needs more nutriats so he can grow. The team member on the surgeon team should be back up tonight or early tomorrow to set up a plan. She wants to talk to dr.lucky first. ( specialist for e.b in ohio) . He will also have to get over the flu and rsv before we can do the surgery. So we will be here awhile. I am glad they are taking there time to make sure things are done right but I am completely stressed out. We are two hours away from home and ELI! Randall and I are not working since we are at the hospital. So we dont have any money to go back and forth to see Eli and it is killing me. I miss my little guy so much. On top of that only god knows how we will be able to pay bills . But the thing that is really stressing me out is kade. Eli did not have all these issues and I am scared. We try to stay strong but it is getting hard. I have a bad feeling something bad is going to happen and believe me when I say its the worse feeling in the world to think your child may pass away. This surgery is not gonna be easy on kade and it wont be on my emotions either. They will have to but a tube down his throat! I know they will be carful but what if he stops breathing? Because the tube caused a blister etc? I am a complete nervous wreck please just pray for my little family! Thank you all in advance for your prayers.
