Oct 21 is municipal election day in Alberta. Electors will determine the future of Ponoka as they choose a new mayor an at least 4 new councillors. This council will be in office for 4 years. I have been on council for the past nine years and have decided to seek the mayors chair. I have the experience, the leadership skills and desire to lead Ponoka into a prosperous future. In the past the voter turnout at the polls has been pathetic (31%). The interesting part of municipal politics is that you are elected by the silent minority and then have to answer to the vocal majority that did not vote. Please come out and vote
