Much more is the office of the governor, highly sacred and should be held in utmost sanctity . Ogun State was created in 1976, though, but occupies a prime position in Nigeria and revered by Nigerians. Prominent and eminent Nigerians emerged from Ogun State. Among, Late Pa Obafemi Awolowo, Late Pa Abraham Adesanya, late Pa Tai Solarin, Late Prof. Ransom Kuti, Late M.K.O Abiola Gen. Olushegun Obasanjo, Gen. Tunji Olurin, General Dipo Diya, Professor Wole Soyinka, Prof. Bola Ajibola. Also, we have Chief Subomi Balogun, Fola Adeola, Pastor Tunde Bakare Ebenezer Obey not living behind prominent and eminent traditional ruler wielding encomium from all over the world. However, it is amazing especially at this time in Ogun state to have an administrator who abhor decorum, inclusiveness and excellence to embrace WASTE, EXCESSES AND MEDIOCRITY! A delve into a few excesses of the present administration will suffice. What wisdom or prudence can anyone point to be in our Governors construction of a pedestrian bridge with air conditioner near his house and adjacent my house too where you can hardly see anyone accidentally using the bridge. In fact most times the doors to the bridge are usually locked. Whereas we have Ifo market in Ifo town where human traffic as a result of crossing the road leads to serious hold up. Again at Iganmode gate of Iganmode grammar School in Ota, School children have to depend on traffic control officers employed by the school authority to cross the road. Sango toll gate is another serious place where one would have expected demonstration of judicious use of tax payers money in Action. Another absurdity I have found in the present administration is the construction of six lane road where sometimes even snails have a field day crossing the road. The familiar maxim in construction is FUNCTION DETERMINES THE FORM but this is abomination in OGUN State. In my on opinion, constructing four or two lanes where necessary would have allowed spread of the road networks across the 236 wards in Ogun State. I, however want to believe that there would be more to some of these excesses than construction, perhaps TINUBU one of the contractors dictates the forms and not the function. On transportation, the situation is laughable, on the first instance the Governor imported 150 air conditioned cars for what? Ogun State is predominantly rural and agrarian settlements. Unlike Lagos that is Mega City, where such things are sine quo non. What has our governor done to open up the rural areas. In Ado Odo / Ota L.G. for instance the roads constructed left AGBARA, IGBESA, IJU, ATAN, ALAPOTI, ADO1, ADO 2 ,ILOGBO, ERE, EJILA AWORI AND KETU WARD IN THE DARK. Will this governor canvass for votes in this areas? I was at Idogo, Olokuta, Ojuroko, Oke Odan, Ipokia, Ebute Igboro, Ijebu water side, no single presence of present administration in these areas to mention a few. So they should go to the city take photographs come home and clap! And now our debt profile is enormous. Thanks to the SENATORS and REP members whose community projects speak volumes. Hence I want all Ogun citizenry to wake up and choose not to be deceived........CHANGE IS IMMINENT! We need erudite governor, exposed governor, team player governor, seasoned administrator governor and above all peace loving governor. NO TO VINDICTIVE AND MALICIOUS ADMINISTRATION! OGUN SI MA DARA
