One Earth Message to be Uploaded to New Horizons Spacecraft What Would Your Message be to the Universe ? This coming summer NASAs New Horizons Space Craft will fly by Pluto on July 14th, capture detailed pictures of the planet, send the data back to Earth and then have its memory wiped clean. However, it will take on a new mission - to carry new messages from Earth as it leaves the solar system forever - and it could carry your message into the vastness of space to possibly be read by some distant inhabitant light years away some day. Long term collaborator of Carl Sagan, Jon Lomberg, was motivated by a belief that messages coming from the whole planet should not just be from nations or the powerful, but from a cross section of humanity. The most famous interstellar message to date - Voyagers Sounds of Earth - is now being carried beyond our Solar System and headed to the stars.
