One of my new puppy owners is in my opinion slightly mad. I mean mega wealthy, doesnt work and what is often the way...looking for something so finds alternative medicines, stuff to keep her amused. Anyway I thought I would share her treatment on getting her cats and her new pup to become friends or at least accept each other. Course ash is only 12 weeks and a softer pup you couldnt wish for. He wont be the problem, the cats who were there first will be. This woman does make me smile:- Yes, I think Ash is v settled. Doing v well at everything. I spoke to my zoopharma teacher about cat-dog relations. She had me offer floral waters to Ash whilst cats in the room. The waters he selected were then stroked on the cats so that he gradually becomes desensitised to them. He chose frankincense and rose waters so cats v fragrant. Interesting as frankincense is for fear and rose de-stresses so good for cats reaction to him too. ( Nb just in case you tempted to try, you cant use actual essential oils on cats fur Well at the very least she will have lovely smelling pets!
