One of the interesting things out of news reports on the meeting SF drag queens had with Facebook: FB says that (unlike G+ before they changed their policy) theyre not using an algorithmic approach to identify fake names, and that FB employees are handling this. But FB has millions of users. It looks like some people or groups are targeting queer people with fake name complaints (Thib has a friend with a crazy but legal name who was hit). So if youre going to target FB with protests, heres the tactic: Why does FB go after harmless fake names while ignoring complaints about harassment and hate groups?
