PLEASE READ: A message from Wheelaroos Head Coach, Steve Hewson... "To all the Family, friends and supporters of the 2013 Wheelchair Rugby League Australia World Cup team. "I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of Wheelchair Rugby League Australia, to thank you for the support you have given to the members of the Wheelchair World Cup Team. Without your support I am sure that, we as a team, would not have been able to reach our goal of attending this event. It was great testimony to the players and their ability to see the large number of family and friends at Sunday night’s farewell exhibition match at Menai. "You should all be proud of the achievements of each and every one of the players in this team. They have committed themselves to improving their skills and understating the game and its tactics. They have given up many hours of their weekends to do this as you are no doubt fully aware. They have challenged themselves and the coaching staff to achieve and in doing so I think, know, that have become better individuals. "I personally would like to thank you, especially the family of the players for allowing them to peruse their dreams. It is indeed a great honour to represent your country at any sport and these players are no different. When they return, regardless of their results, they will be part of an elite group of athletes that can say “I am and Australian Representative and I have done my country, family and friends proud”. "Once again thank you for your support and encouragement of this group of inspiring athletes.
