POWER+COURAGE= HOPE Kraftur + Hugrakur=VON here are a few updates if people did not see them. In 2014 I will be organizing a BIG EVENT for Make a Wish. This is a huge honor and has taken years for it to happen mainly because of the stereotype that strongman has with the masses. I have three different ideas That I would like a vote on which would be the most popular. This will NOT be a NAS I am going to talk with Willie and Dione once things get going to possibly have them involved in someway. Also this will not effect The Granite State Contest it will be a standalone event. First off this will be a 100% fundraising event( unless someone or business would like to donate to help put the event together) My budget is going to be pretty much zero. I have a few companies that should help with T-shirts and Trophies. It will be a team type event no matter what( I will explain) Entry fee for team of 5 plus one alternate will be $500.00 raise more if possible highest amount raised will have that team going last on events. (IF YOU START RAISING MONEY EARLY MAKE SURE ALL CHECKS ARE MADE OUT TO MAKE A WISH NOT ME) A) each team will have one athletes do only one event everyone must go once. B) only three events and all athletes compete in all three events points will be added for final total. C) normal contest setup and names will be drawn to setup teams. Teams will be NOVICE Open- Lightweight Woman Total combine weight under 600lbs, Heavyweight Woman- 601lb and above combined team weight. Lightweight men- under 1000lbs combine weight Heavyweight men-1001lb and above combined team weight. Trophies will be first place Team trophy( unless trophy company agrees to smaller ones for entire team Ok reason for team set up each team will have a Captain/ Coach to help you and cheer you on maybe more then one. They will come up with Team Name. Did I mention they will be MAKE A WISH Kids. So that is the early plan I am looking at January at the earliest INSIDE or early spring OUTSIDE. So voting will run till Sept. 14 2013 so let me know Many things may change from now till contest time Make A Wish had some ideas they want to run by me once things start up.
