Patients suffering from psychosis have impaired reality testing. - TopicsExpress

Patients suffering from psychosis have impaired reality testing. They are unable to distinguish personal subjective experience from the reality of the external world. They experience hallucinations and/or delusions that they believe are real, and may behave and communicate in an inappropriate and incoherent fashion. Psychosis may appear as a symptom of a number of mental disorders, including mood and personality disorders. It is also the defining feature of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, and psychotic disorders. I remember reading that schizoids tend to do a lot of constructing fantasy worlds and that sort of thing. It suggests that our imaginations are very powerful. I am not in a relationship and have not been for several years by choice. I try to be nice to everybody but some people read to much into it and take everything the wrong way. When I do decide to be in a relationship it would be with a healthy drug free woman around my own age.
