People used to do this shit back in the 70s. Theyd travel around in old buses, on motorcycles, going to big philosophy seminars or protests or gurus. Its in that book, The Cool Aid Acid Test, and Xen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. He calls himself Phaedrus like in Platos diologues and talks about David Hume and Western Philosophy a lot. People were I to opening up their minds a lot more, having experiences, discovering things. Then the 80s happened and everyone became robots. That 60s freedom, 70s anarchist and crochet rug vibe, man. That festival, protest and gypsy glass mosaic. I was trying to tap in to an extreme version of that with the New Left to get away from the BDS Palestine movement who co-opted everything in the 90s. The 70s was cool man. Thats when Star Wars happened and Atari and no one cared if you had tattoos or piercings or what race you were or if you were gay or any of that other shit. You had stuff like the Rocky Horror Show and people thought it was cool. Heavy Metal started in the 70s, guys doing far flung things with guitars. Everyone was politically active in the 70s. People living in communes and stuff that had grew out of the 60s. Hunter S. Thompson riding around with Nixon and the Hells Angels. It was an era when anything could happen. amazon/gp/aw/d/0060589469/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1420657777&sr=8-1#productDescription_secondary_view_pageState_142065779340
