Politics is service, not a game – JYT Speaking to over 400 people at Drepong and Kilikhar in Mongaar, the Druk Phuensuem Tshogpa President, Jigmi Y Thinley said politics and elections means giving the most competent party the responsibilities of taking a country forward. “There are people who do not understand this and say that a ‘Chance’ should be given for ‘Change,’” the former Prime Minister said, adding that electing a government is not a game. “For DPT, politics is sacred and we are committed to unwaveringly serve our kings, nation and the people,” the president said. He informed the people that if the government falls in the hands of the wrong people, what the country has attained over the last few decades under the stewardship of our visionary monarchs may go down the drain within a short time.
