This is a wonderfully straightforward question that speaks to the heart of this election. Do I have faith in this mayor and council? No, I dont. Why would I? Why would anyone? They are bullies who have behaved abominably, they have mistreated staff so badly that there has been a mass exodus of excellent people, they are intentionally provoking a lockout or strike of civivc workers, they have done less than nothing to improve public safety, they have done nothing to improve recreation for children, they have done nothing for seniors, and they lied to get elected in the first place. They claim to be business friendly and yet there are fewer business licensees in Mission now than there were 2 years ago. They have taken credit for development that only occurred because of work done by previous councils. The mayors leadership is so bad that a majority of his council passed a vote of no confidence in him. They are the epitome of what is wrong with politics, and they give all politicians a bad name. And that is sad because there are some excellent independent candidates running in this election that deserve a chance. If you want to change things, then you MUST go and vote.
