Posting the clip of our mega play from our IIT days (I am from 43rd mins onwards for five mins, playing the opposition neta). Most of the folks in this video are in senior positions somewhere or the other, and this is a tribute to our crazy, carefree days. Its one of those rare few plays where female roles are being played by our female colleagues :) Highlights : - Watch the engineers dancing and prancing around from 2 mins. - DO WATCH The much better welcome routine from 10:24 mins. Hostel 8, my hostel, had reputation of producing the best dance routines ! Santosh the footer player tries his once in a lifetime dancing skills here. Kanika the little, one is hidden behind. ;) - The BESTest man in this play Sameer Saxena (where are you nowadays? ) from 21:46 mins playing the useless policeman. Watch his dance. Hille le jag jor duniya is still a song we play because of his act. - Sachin gave the voice over for Sameer. ( Yes, Sameers voice is not his). Voice of Sachin, my partner in crime many a times, and Sameers acting combo made this play win awards. Sachin was later on stage( at 36 mins to kill a character. He later ran back to the mike after his entry) - The slaps at 39:50 by Manav on Sameer were real. You can hear the audience jeering at Sameer for being so real. After all, Sameer was the most popular actor in the insti that time. Manav later apologised to Sameer, and Sameer forgave him because we won the awards :D - The opposition neta at 43 mins is me ! The small applaud from the crowd for my small role is all I got ! ;) - The HELICOPTER on the stage( at 47:50 mins) actually got stuck while landing. Notice our hostel cheering in relief when it almost crash landed successfully !! :D - Trick question: Did the Chief minister(at 50 mins), played by Ankur, actually come out from that helicopter on the stage? - Vikram Jamwal, at 51 mins, playing the reporter. He was creator, director, script writer and what not for everything creative being done on the campus. Immense respect ! I think he continues to do this even today. - Celebrations and destruction of the set at the end(55 mins onwards). This is the part we can keep watching even today. Woh fursat ke raat din... :) Thanks a mega tonne ,Manav for uploading this !
