Ready to fall in love? John Henry is out to steal your heart! John Henry is a 4 year old male beagle that came to CBR from a shelter in Kentucky. He is just as sweet as he looks. He loves to lay around near his humans and soak up all the attention you are willing to give. He is great with dog-friendly children and loves to snuggle. This sweet boy enjoys other dogs but would be fine as an only pet. He is very attached to humans and has a bit of separation anxiety. He would do best in a family that is home most of the time. He has been through a lot in his short life so we can see why he is anxious about his humans leaving him. Separation issues are very treatable and dogs do well with structure, reward and positive training. Upon John Henrys arrival we realized that he had an old hip injury that needed to be addressed. He has recently had surgery to repair his hip and his recovery is going remarkably well. He will require a family that is willing to help him exercise his hip and do some simple physical therapy. His long-term prognosis is good and he shouldnt have any other complications from his hip as long as he does his therapy and stays at a healthy weight. John Henry is looking for a forever family to call his own. Lets find this sweet beagle boy a place to call home.
