Right now we are packing and getting ready to head to Nashville in the early morning for Tysons pre-Fontan cath. He is first case so it should start around 8am (we have to be there at 6:30). We are really nervous but really this should be a complication free thing and we will spend one night in the hospital and hopefully be outta there and on our way home Saturday. We are leaving little Leni here in Knoxville since it should be such a quick trip. Some specific things to pray for- Obviously for Tyson to handle the sedation, intubation and the overall procedure well... We want no complications at all! Pray for easy access and anesthesia and for the doctors and nurses to remember how to handle our unpredictable firecracker of a kid. Pray for a smooth handover to the surgical team... this is probably the thing we are dreading the most... for Tyson to stay calm and be ok as they take him away from us. Pray for his recovery to be swift and pain free for Tyson, and for any intervention that is required to work and be what Tysons heart needs. And if we can ask for prayers for ourselves... Please pray for strength for Justin, myself and our parents (who will be attempting to work and pretending everything is ok). Weve all had some emotions rising lately with the surgery being scheduled now so we all need prayers on that front!! So again, this really should be a quick and painless thing, but we appreciate your love as we navigate our way back into hospital land. As Tyson would say yucky... This is all just yucky... Well keep you posted!!
