SA swimmers are having a great Nationals in Rockhampton. There are 14 swimmers entered and of those Mark Smedley, Robert Harris & Carlos Asumpcao (Adelaide Masters), Phil, Leanne & Melissa Beames, Joy Page and Tubby Ramsay (Atlantis), Sharon Beaver (Henley Beach), Craig Smith & Barbara Pearce (Marion), Kate Brocklehurst (Port August) and Jenny Mulqueen (Tea Tree Gully) have hit the pool. Phil & Des Mulqueen has been officiating everyday. Tubby, Mark, Sharon & Melissa have been amongst the medalists (full details on the web site). Barbara had the misfortune to be taken ill after her first event, the 400 individual medley, and was taken to hospital. has been released following a full cardiac check up but could not continue her swims. We hope she has a speedy recovery. The weather here is about 28 degrees everyday but quite humid and the outdoor 50m pool great to swim in.
