SADOMBA TO HELP AMAI MUGABE LIBYA-based Warriors forward, Edward Sadomba, is reportedly planning to pour cash into President Robert Mugabes wife Graces charity project, the First Lady has revealed. Sadomba, who has amassed a modest fortune from a rare and profitable tango with North African football, reportedly visited Grace at her Mazowe Orphanage two weeks ago to inform her he was keen on sponsoring her benevolent activities. The First Lady revealed this last weekend when she was addressing a group of Zanu PF women who had thronged her orphanage for a famous birthday bash which later turned out to be the day she made a surprise entry into politics after being nominated to stand for the Zanu PF womens league chair. Pane mukomana uya anotamba bhora anonzi Edward sadomba akauya about two weeks ago pano apa achiti amai ini ndakaona basa ramunoita ndiri kuda kusupporter zvamuri kuita (There is this footballer called Edward Sadomba who came here two weeks ago to tell me that he appreciated my charity work and would want to support the project), she said, without giving more details. During the visit, the former Dynamos forward also opened up to the First Lady about his constant fears of living in the war-torn Arab country. The oil producing country was in 2011 plunged into civil war by an armed rebellion against leader Maummar Gaddafi. Akauya akati amai inini kungoti ndiri munhu anotamba bhora ndinodawo kuti ndiwane pundutso yekupundutsa mhuri yangu but kuLibya kwandiri kutamba bhora amai hakugarike unongofunga kuti bomb richalenda pamba pangu kana kuti uchanzwa mabara achipinda nepa window. (He revealed his continued fears of fending for his family in a war-torn country saying he lived in constant fear of bombs one day landing in his yard or bullets flying in through the windows), she said. Sadomba could not however be reached for comment to shed light on his plans to support Graces charity work. The footballer was in the country last month during an African Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania which the Warriors lost. newzimbabwe
