SEEK DAILY, Wednesday, December 17 Psalm19 THE HEAVENS PROCLAIM GOD’S HANDIWORK Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14, KJV Psalm 19 is a psalm of praise and prayer credited to David, the king of Israel. It can be divided into three sections – the praise section (verses 1-6); the section on the emphasis on the word of God (verse 7-11) and the prayer section (verses 12-14). The focus for today will be the first section. Here, David observes what happens in the heavens and the firmament. He appreciates the mystery behind the sky, the day, the sun, and so on. He simply concludes that by expressing themselves in what they do, they show forth the glory of God. Are you observant enough to take notice of mysteries around you day by day? Even if you do, have you ever allowed the awesomeness of God’s mysteries behind these things to spur you into worshipping Him? As you express yourself day by day, you show forth the glory of God. David pondered on the power of God that keeps the sky, the cloud, the day, and the sun existing perpetually, and was inspired to pray as stated in v 14. You can also pray the same prayer. • Birthday Blessing: “Ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your soul.” Jeremiah 6:16 Read Bible Through Passage: Obadiah 1; Revelation 9. My profession is to always find God in nature. - Henry David Thoreau *********************** Meditations for the Day 17Dec2014 BIBLE VERSE FOR THE DAY “Think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things — and the things that are not — to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him” (1 Corinthians 1:26-29 NIV). ******************* QUOTE FOR THE DAY When you think that you are weak and small compared to others in the world, that is when God can use you to do great and wonderful things for Him!
