Salvation - Gods Part and Our Part: God has given us Salvation - TopicsExpress

Salvation - Gods Part and Our Part: God has given us Salvation through Grace, which simply means it is freely given to us and this is spoken about in Gods Word. The problem has come about when Man has taken this and twisted it into a Grace Doctrine of I can do whatever I want now that I am saved, because I am always saved and I dont have to do anything else, which is not true! The person is playing with their soul. When they accepted Jesus into their life, God freely gave this gift through the death of Jesus Christ. We also have to do our part which is: 1. Accept Gods gift of Salvation which is given to us freely by Gods Grace. Romans 3:24 says, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (Romans 10:8-12, 5:20) 2. Faith - Grace is given to us though our Faith, which is our belief in Jesus Christ. We must have Faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:28 says, Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (Romans 5:1-2) 3. Forgiveness - Which is asking God to forgive us of our sins and forgiving others. Romans 4:4-8 says, 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. (Hebrews 9:22) Also Forgiveness is not complete without Repentance. 4. Repentance - Which means to change ones mind and turn from sin. When we change our mind, this causes us to turn from sin and when we turn from sin, our actions will change as well. Our actions are our fruit which we and everyone can see. Matthew 3:8 says, 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: Also forgiveness and repentance are continuous things as we may sin at times in our lives and have to seek forgiveness and repent. When we dont do our part then we can become unsaved, thus losing our Salvation.
