So my husband bought me a new vacuum for my Birthday. My old one was not working that well-I know a vacuum for ones Birthday-but those who know me know its perfect-cause Im such a clean freak! At any rate an elderly African-American couple was driving by as my husband was taking it out to the trash-they asked if they could have it. I cleaned it up and gave it to them. It looked like they were going around looking for things because they had other used things in their truck-I felt so sorry for them. I told my husband to get our old TV set and see if they needed it, turns out they did. We ended up giving them holiday decorations as well. They were so Thankful for those barely usable things. Im far from rich-but it felt terrific to give something to someone who is less fortunate than myself. Thats what the meaning of this season is- not who can out do who! To always be greatful for what you have. There is always someone out there less fortunate than you! Feeling Blessed!
