So proud of my husband. :) :) :) Nazareth Honors Gary Rogers with Woerner Kollmorgen Award Nazareth College is pleased to announce that Gary Rogers is this year’s recipient of the Woerner Kollmorgen Award for Community Service. The ceremony recognizes individuals who have made notable contributions to the Rochester community by enhancing the quality of life for members of the community. This year’s ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 24, with a breakfast meeting at Nazareth College. Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren is scheduled to give the welcome and opening remarks. Entrepreneur, machinist, activist, and leader Gary Rogers received his certification as a tool & die maker from the Rochester Tooling and Machining Institute. Over several decades, Rogers progressed from a machinist to many leadership positions at Jasco Tools, becoming a partner and president of the Jasco Families of Companies. After retirement, Rogers continued building his entrepreneurial skills and is presently the owner of Dock Hardware, Rogers Enterprises, and AWR Rigging. Rogers has been a strong supporter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) and the Rochester Tooling and Machining Association (RTMA). Through these associations, Rogers has contributed to the raising of hundreds of thousands of dollars through different programs. Rogers received NTMA’s most prestigious award, the National Member Award. He served as RTMA’s president in 1994 and 1995. Rogers presently serves as a board member of the Work Investment Board. In recognition of his work in community development, Rogers has received numerous awards, including the Chiavaroli Citizen Award, All-America City Award, Volunteer of the Year from the Salvation Army, and Chamber of Commerce’s Civic Award. Rogers’s current project is the Mia Foundation, which was developed to give animals born with birth defects a fighting chance to live. The foundation rescues birth defected animals and seeks to provide the support needed to allow them to live healthy pet lives.
