So the apt. next to me caught fire last night about 10 pm. My neighbor came running to us with her 2 year old looking for help. Kevin ran over there with all of my baking soda. The fire was already climbing the wall and burning kitchen cabinets. She had called fire dept before coming to us. Kevin had the fire out before they got there but stove is a loss, a couple of cabinets are damaged pretty bad and of course there is smoke damage. Kevin was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and advised to go to the hospital but he refused. I feel a bit sick from the smoke myself. Kevin kept it from getting to other units including ours. No sleep for me all night and he had a rough night coughing.
