St. James the Great Parish will pray this prayer at the end of all Masses for nine days, starting tomorrow: Novena Prayer for the Supreme Court Ruling on the Reproductive Health Law All: God, our loving Father, who has given mankind civil government for the preservation of peace and the establishment of justice, we ask your grace and guidance for our Supreme Court as it deliberates on the constitutionality of the recently-enacted Reproductive Health law. The decision it reaches will have incalculable consequences for the future of our country, greatly influencing the health and integrity of the Filipino family, and determining the strength of our Constitution in preserving the values which are embodied in it. We turn to you, the ultimate source of all authority and wisdom, to ask that you guide this judicial process to conform to the principles of truth and love which flow from your very nature. We beg you to send your Holy Spirit anew, with his seven-fold gifts, upon the justices and upon the lawyers who will argue the case before them. May they be conformed to your will. By the power of your Holy Spirit at work in them, may the decision that is reached build up the culture of love and life that is under attack in our society and our world.
