Sweet William is a small Australian manufacturer of quality chocolates for people with special dietary requirements. Whether those dietary requirements are driven by allergy or substance intolerance (coeliac, diabetic, anaphylaxis), by lifestyle choice (vegetarian, vegan), or by faith/religion (Kosher/Halal) we are proud of the fact that our locally manufactured safe and good to eat chocolate is not only sold locally but is exported to New Zealand, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, the Middle East and South East Asia. Within those markets are people of various faiths and beliefs, but most importantly dietary requirements. We declare in words that our products are “vegetarian/vegan” and that they contain “No Dairy”, “No Gluten”, “No Nuts”, and where appropriate contain “No Added Sugar” so that those with allergies and dietary intolerances can select our chocolate for safe consumption. The use of symbols on our wrapping only indicates to certain groups (Kosher/Halal, Vegan) that the processes we have followed and the ingredients we have used meet the standards required by those bodies. It is our duty to provide accurate information to our customers about the processes we use and the certifications we have and the chocolate we sell. It is hoped that this will clarify our position.
