TAKE ACTION TO GET RID OF TED NUGENTS OUTDOOR CHANNEL CONNECTION. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EFFORT, ESP IF YOU RESIDE IN MICHIGAN. AS A WHOLE, WE CAN MAKE AN IMPACT. A petition was signed last week by 3,850 regarding Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to break ties with the Outdoor Channel and its extremist spokesman, NRA board member TED NUGENT. We were able to negotiate a call with MEDCs Public Relations Manager, Michelle Grinnell, to discuss the problem. She seemed genuinely concerned about her organizations public image and the integrity of MEDCs Pure Michigan campaign. BUT, unfortunately, she did not give us a commitment to terminate MEDCs relationship with the Outdoor Channel and Nugent. Ms. Grinnell informed us that she would be discussing the issue with her colleagues this week. As they make their decision, we want to make sure they realize how many people are paying attention.
