TEN INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE MILLION MAN MARCH 1). The March was the largest (greatest) peaceful demonstration in the HISTORY of America. 2). Nearly two million men were in attendance. 3). 82% of those present were Christians. 4). The March was held on a week day (Monday). 5). The Men in attendance paid their own way to get to Washington, many taking off work and sacrificing money they really didnt have. 6). The U.S. Government shut down that day and closed all sessions (Literally). 7). Nearly zero percent reports of violence and illegal activity that day on the Mall. 8). The purpose of the March was NOT to appeal to the U.S. Government but to Atone and appeal to almighty God for our short comings in protecting and providing for our women and children. 9.) Celebraties in attendance are to large to name but just a few were: Will Smith, Jesse Jackson, Russell Simmons, Stevie Wonder, Isaac Hayes, Ice Cube, Al Sharpton, I believe P. Diddy aka Puff Daddy was there, etc, etc, etc,...... 10) The U.S. Military was hiding in un seen chambers, prepared to slaughter and kill on command or in the event there was un uproar. ***Despite the magnitude and significance of the Million Man March to black America, it remains the least recognized event in history in general, black history month or the public school system.
