TESTIMONIAL!! 5 year old using #zeal I have a 5yr old who was diagnosed with Sensory Intergration, or what is commonly known as Sensory Processing Disorder. He over-responds to sensation and finds clothing, physical contact, light, sound, food, or other sensory input (movement or body placement) to be unbearable. Playgrounds and parties upset him- too much going on. Eating is a challenge both for him and for anyone sitting at a table with him. Before his diagnosis, the doctor had started him on therapy for the food aversion, this was in August of last year. Stopped them in March of 2014 because they believed his aversion was an underlying of something more. In March, he was evaluated and diagnosed. While my husband and I had been on Zeal since May of 2013, I was reluctant to start my son on it. In November, we ended up in the ER with our son because 1- he had strep throat, 2- he was backed up (constipated) and 3 -They couldnt get his heart rate down. It was then that I knew that I had to start him on Zeal. Since starting on Zeal, My son has been making incredible leaps and bounds. It didnt happen quickly, because he didnt like it to start, but I didnt give up. Started with an ounce every day for about a week, with just water and gradually increasing it to 3oz. Now he asks for it, first thing in the morning! Hes been on Zeal since the very next day of that ER visit, now 7 months. Immediately, we noticed he was hungrier, asking for more food and different kinds of food. We occasionally got the anxiety face when new things were introduced, but he was verbalizing his feelings, instead of trying to gag on the smells or sight. At 5 months of being on Zeal, literally overnight, he started being more adventurous- jumping, running, climbing, swinging, etc... This was and still is a huge step for him because he has anxiety of falling, body placement, etc... He is also eating meat and different kinds and lettuce- huge, huge deal! We continue to be surprised at his ability to overcome obstacles and so are his therapists. Every Tuesday he attends therapy and every therapy the therapists comes out raving about how well he is doing. They had considered doing audio therapy on him, but not anymore! My son is no longer scared loud of running, hes climbing rope ladders & rock walls, hes running to playgrounds with literally thousands of screaming kids, and eating. How his appetite has changed. Also, hes no longer constipated, has a regular movement, sometimes twice a day and he no longer deals with allergies. We havent went to the doctor in quite awhile. We do have setbacks, but for the most part, this kiddo is doing great! Proud mommy, here! Im so grateful for Zeal!! My husband and I are always having these moments, when we just look at one another and smile. We know what we have here- its a blessing!! I hope this posts reaches out to someone out there that may be going through the same thing. Dont give up, everyones body is different and you never know what Zeal can do for you!!
