THINK ON THIS LINES!!! (NOT FOR BLIND IMITATORS) More and more people can see that the #PTI, #PAT long marches, sit-ins and reading of demands is all a drama that will lead to no substantive change in #Pakistan. Revolutions simply not do come through democracy. Both Imran Khan (official) and Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof.Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri [titles his own!] are trying to speak against/change the system whilst at the same time affirming its essentials elements (the constitution, democracy, etc.). What they seek is cosmetic change under the label of revolution. Weve long said that the system protects itself, not allowing change from within. Here is a demonstration of how. The essential elements are impressed and imposed, while the facade of freedom to seek change is restricted to the edges. Anyone who speaks against or wants to change the essential elements is attacked and sidelined as enemies of the state. This drama does reveal, however, once again, that all the political parties, including Jamaat-e-Islaami, accept and appeal to the pillars of the current (rotten) system. Hence there is no hope of real change from them. We need to move beyond them and outside the (western-imposed) paradigm of constitutional democracy for real change. One other thing we see very clearly is the power of the military. We all know that the #PakArmy is the most powerful institution in Pakistan, which meddles in every other institution. Naturally, when the country is in such a bad state, its most influential institution is responsible in a significant way for this. Indeed, we all know the many wrongs and traitorous actions of the military under Musharraf, then Kayani and now Sharif. But notice how when both Imran Khan and Tahir ul-Qadri speak about the problems of Pakistan and enumerate all the issues in their long speeches, they never, not even once, say anything about the army. This point alone is enough to expose the reality of the claims of revolution and also indicates that all this drama is being done with approval from the army. The media - the allegedly free media through whose open criticism some claim Pakistan will move forward - is the same in this respect. It is both reporting what is happening and at the same time systematically ridiculing both Imran Khan and Tahir ul-Qadri, and all the other politicians, minus, again, the army. The apparently critical approach is not by coincidence. This is the same media which when the army undertakes wars of fitna and operations within Pakistan at the behest of the US every major media channel falls in line and starts singing praises of the army and tickling the nationalistic sentiments of the people. There is virtually no critical discussion or ridicule at all. All these realities that make us think and be able to distinguish between the right and wrong ways of working for the change that Pakistan not only sorely needs but is an obligation on us from Allah, the Exalted.
