Tehreek e hurriyat SGR Press releases SRINAGAR September 23, 2013: Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep concern over fresh arrest spree in Baramulla and Shopian and said that authorities are playing a dangerous game and added that it reveal that state is being ruled by jungle law . Blaming Delhi and Umer Abdullah for their brutal behavior against the people of state, Syed Ali Geelani urged immediate release of the arrested youth and warned that Hurriyat Conference will resist state terror and would make every possible choice and speak for the subjugated people of Jammu and Kashmir. Monday, in a press statement Syed Ali Geelani said that police filed FIR against students including Zubair Ahmad, Sajad Ahmad Rather, Shahid Ahmad Wani, Obaid Rashid Mir, Shahid Salam and Faisal Ahmed and were shifted to Central Jail Srinagar, while as scores of youth and shopkeepers in Baramulla were also detained. Syed Ali Geelani said that in Shopian CRPF men killed four innocent civilians and consequently the people in hook and corner came out and resented these brutal killing. Instead of taking any action and arresting those involved in these unjustified killing, the authorities contrary to it, arrested those who had protested against this brutal act. While lashing at authorities Syed Ali Geelani said that in civilized societies the innocent killings cause the downfall of administration and people in power while accepting the moral responsibility and submit their resignation ,however it is quite reverse in Jammu and Kashmir where mourners wailing over the dead bodies are arrested and the killers are let free. Syed Ali Geelani also expressed deep concern that many young people being arrested are studying in schools and colleges and police has filed FIR against these and thus spoiling their career and creating misgivings about their future. Syed Ali Geelani said that it has now proved that this is the established policy of Umer Abdullah led administration and are hell-bent to spoil the future of all those youth who are committed with resistant movement and show their resentment against the state terrorism. Syed Ali Geelani said that when people are prevented to express their feelings, then consequently they are left with other options. Syed Ali Geelani said that state authorities have suppressed the people’s aspirations and it will certainly evolve a reaction and the authorities who for their mean interests muzzle genuine voice of people shall have to face the accountability.While stressing for the immediate release of all those arrested in Baramulla and Shopian Syed Ali Geelani in his appeal to international organizations urged to take notice of the grim and volatile situation in Kashmir and urging upon them to use their diplomatic influence on the Indian authorities to prevent innocent killings in Kashmir and fulfill their responsibility. SRINAGAR 23-09-13”Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep shock and sorrow over the suicide bomb blast in Peshawar near a Church .Syed Ali Geelani while demanding the stringent action against the killers expressed his sympathy with those killed in the bomb blast .Syed Ali Geelani while condemning the brutal killings said that assassins with bestial character are enemies of mankind and they should be hanged. He said that that situation in Pakistan is grim and it is target for vested powers. While referring to the U.S., India and Israel, Syed Ali Geelani said that they are hell-bent to destabilize Pakistan. Syed Ali Gilani said the blast in the church is a serious matter, and it is the moral responsibility of Pakistan administration to protect life, property and honor of minority communities and added that they are duty bound to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.
