Thanks Andrew Tan Tsun Wen for organizing the Ackerman MO! The pen - TopicsExpress

Thanks Andrew Tan Tsun Wen for organizing the Ackerman MO! The pen he brought in for me was the new fountain pen, a quick look at the design of the pen made me realise that our dear inventor hasnt figured out that the vacuum at the back of the pen is preventing the ink from flowing. For the tinkers, you can install a breather tube to solve the problem (ref. Parker 51, dont tell Ackerman...), if youre a lazy b******* like me, heres a quick fix. Pull out the stopper at the back of the pen, grease it with an generous amount of silicone grease, push it back in and spread it around a bit. Presto, instant flow control stopper. Pull up the stopper halfway to allow a little air in and the ink will flow. Caution, too much air and itll flow like a tap, experiment a bit to get the right balance. Notes: do remember to push the stopper back in before storage and always adjust the stopper over an ink bottle or well (or youll end up like my sample )
