Thanks to my amazing family & friends I reached my fundraising goal yesterday!!!! $1250 raised for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!! THANK YOU to each & every person that has "stepped up to the plate" to help me on my journey to the Chicago Marathon finish line! BUT..... I am not done yet.... Do you know where the money goes when you make a donation to LLS? **POWER OF YOUR GIFT** $100 - Helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures. $75 - Average cost of tissue typing to become a bone marrow donor. $50 - Provides a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members. $40 - Will educate 4 school employees on how to ease the transition back to school for a child with cancer. $25 - Provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
