The Holy Spirit does still work in the lives of believerss, however. The Bible is foundational, but the Spirit gives us insight for timing and direction. After all, the Apostles had been instructed to make disciples of all nations, but sometime along the line the Spirit forbade them to spread the Gospel in Asia Minor. Later, Paul would have a great ministry there, but now God had another work to do, in Macedonia. Make the Bible your foundation, and follow the Spirit. Gods work will be done!
