The RNRU Director of Comms, Cdr Rachel Scandling wearing her other hat as co-Chair of the Naval Servicewomen’s Network, attended the everywoman Award ceremony at the Dorchester in London, to accept the ‘Spirit of everywoman Award’, on behalf of Cdr Ellie Ablett, the Founder of the Naval Servicewomen’s Network. The Network was established on International Women’s Day this year to provide a professional network for women across the Naval Service, to promote inclusion, improve retention and to encourage and enable individuals to achieve their potential. We all know that having a diverse culture plays a pivotal role in an organisation; it promotes different opinions, a wider range of mindsets and most importantly, supports innovation. Through Ellie’s inspirational leadership, vision and determination we really are sharing, inspiring and empowering women across the Naval service.
