The past few mornings Ive been waking up with some (slightly) older songs going through my mind (Love that built in reverb! :) ) Songs like A White Sport Coat, and A Pink Carnation by Marty Robbins, Dont Let The Rain Come Down by the Serendipity Singers, and most recently:The Rain The Park , and Other Things, by the Cowsills. This last one was the first 45 recording I ever purchased. I found each of these songs on Youtube , but what amazed me was the video of the Cowsills singing this song they made famous all those many moons ago. Its a live performance, but (IMHO) the blend of music and harmony would make any sound recording technician proud.Sadly, at least three of the members (four when you include their mother who also sang with them) have passed on. Yes, they were/are one family. I compared an older studio version with the newer live concert one, and well....Ill let those reading this come to their own conclusion(s).
