There are some difficulties in teaching grade-schoolers social skills that are not often addressed. Does anyone properly teach boys (and tomboys) how to swallow air so they can produce major belches at will? Do we explain that it is always cooler to be the kid who pays the other kid a dollar to eat a bug rather that actually being the kid who eats the bug? When do we address the real rules of the playground?
