This is called The Story Horse.. It came from an etching that was done presumably by The Palo Into Indians.. Palo Into Tx. Is named after the tribe.. I was exploring on Palo Pints Creek when I noticed a very thick sandstone overhang about 30 ft up the bank.. I made my way up and found this image etched into the back wall of the sandstone overhang.. definitely a place they could take refuge in.. found several stone arrowheads as well.. I went back to my truck and got a paperback and a piece of charcoal and went back up there and took a rubbing of the image.. I have used it as a metal art cutout..Ive painted it on canvas and now Obama sandstone.. this sandstone is a little over two feet wide and. Eighteen inches at the tallest point.. it is about half an inch thick.. very nice sized piece .. would look great above a fireplace.. I intend to do photo prints oncthis art work at. 12 x 16... and sell prints of this..I will be doing an abandonment on a smaller version of this.. The mane .. tail..hooves and lightning bolts are finished in 23 kt Gold Leaf..
